Shakyamuni Buddha told his disciples that he recalled the blessings of his previous life, when he had countless wealth. The reasons for these blessings come from three things: first, giving; second, taming; third, practicing Buddhism. However, even such a great blessing will eventually disappear, and all things with names will eventually disappear. Therefore, you should stop all actions forever, be disgusted with them, cut off your desires, and be liberated.
Ordinary people are addicted to the five desires, and they are not satisfied. The sage is full of wisdom and always content.
In our neighboring village, there is a farmer who loves cattle. He often talks to his cattle, and the cattle can understand human language. He cherishes this cattle very much, and tied a small braid on its head with a red ribbon (people in the Qing Dynasty had braids).
One day, the magistrate of Chaoyang Prefecture went to the countryside to investigate people's conditions. When the magistrate met him on the road, the magistrate ordered to get off the sedan chair and said to him, "You must be a troublemaker. Why do you braid the cattle 's hair?" He knelt down and said, "I am a Good man, I braid this cattle because I love it." The magistrate said, "Get up! If it understands human language, tell it to make way for me." The farmer said to the cattle, "Hei boy (cattle name)! My lord is coming, we have to make way, you jump to the other side of the ditch!" The cattle jumped over. The magistrate was very happy when he saw it, and rewarded the farmer with silver and told him to cultivate the land well.
I heard about it, so I went to see "Black Boy". How did he train it? I also learned how to train my cattle , and by observing its temperament, I realized that there is a stupid fire in the cattle's nature with a stubborn temper. If you can turn its stupid fire into nature, you can help it to get rid of the suffering of the animal state.
One day, when plowing the land in the garden, there were walls on all sides, and the plow could not reach the end. I said to the cattle : "How can you think of plowing the plow to the end?" The cattle looked at it, turned around, sat on a coat with its buttocks, and sat on the plow to the ground. This cattle can also go up the mountain to graze and drink water by itself, and lead other cattle back to the pen, and its stupid nature has really been purified.
Later, the cattle was taken away by Huzi (the bandit), and I redeemed it with seventy coins . Two years later, it was taken away again. I said to my family: "This cattle deserved to die a long time ago. It was only because it was taken away by Huzi the year before last. We bought it back with seventy coins , so he lived for another two years. It has already paid our debts, this time I will not redeem it again. This cattle is worth 90 coins on that time, and it cost 70 coins to redeem it last time, so we are worthy of it. If I redeem it again, it will pay the debt again, isn’t it? Is it suffering even more?" Unexpectedly, it ran back by itself. At that time, I said, "It has paid off its debts, and its character has become pure. It should die next year." It really died in the second year.
I learned from this incident that if a cattle has transformed its nature, it will be able to escape the way of an animal. People have to use humanity to teach cattle, so that they can became better, and that's not a bad way to treat a cattle.

Private press: "If we don't owe each other, we won't meet each other"
“If a cow loses its ox nature, it is out of the realm of an animal. When a person loses his human nature, he leaves the human realm.”
In the Gengzi Year of Qianlong (AD 1780), a fire broke out in the Yangmeizhu Xiejie outside the front gate of Beijing. The fire was so large that it burned down more than 100 private houses. However, what is surprising is that after the fire, there was a dilapidated house standing alone among the rubble, which formed a sharp contrast with the surrounding ruins. It turned out that there was a widow living in this dilapidated house. She guarded her sick mother-in-law's bedside and did not run out even when it was on fire. This is probably what the ancients said, "The ultimate in filial piety is connected with the gods."
During the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty, such an incident happened in a place called Chusi Village: A peasant woman lived with her mother-in-law. One night, it rained suddenly, and the mud on the wall fell down. When the peasant woman heard the sound, she got up quickly, put her back against the wall that was about to collapse, and at the same time called her mother-in-law loudly. After the mother-in-law woke up, she hurried forward and fell under the kang. At this time, the earthen wall suddenly fell down, and the peasant woman was crushed under it. Her body just fell on the place where the mother-in-law was sleeping.
This is a true filial woman. Because of her humble background, no one reported her deeds to the government, and her name was not kept.
According to legend, after the death of the peasant woman, her mother-in-law cried bitterly. One day, a neighbor told her mother-in-law: "Last night, I dreamed of your daughter-in-law wearing a Gods costume. She asked me to send you a message: 'Please stop crying all day, mother-in-law. Because I died on behalf of my mother-in-law, I have become a Immortal.” Later, several villagers also told my mother-in-law that they also had the same dream.
Some people say that if the peasant woman really becomes a fairy, why not entrust her dream to her mother-in-law, but ease her grief through the mouth of the neighbors? Could it be that they conspired to comfort the mother-in-law? Ji Xiaolan believes that anyone who is loyal, filial and righteous will become a god after death. The way of heaven is clear, and the outcome of many things has been confirmed. It is believable that the neighbors had the same dream. "If all the human mind thinks she is a god, the Gods will also think she is a god."
All realms in the world are impermanent. When the sun is midday, there will be dizziness, and when the moon is full, there will be eclipse. The high bank is the valley, and the deep valley is the mausoleum. The sea becomes the field, and the field becomes the sea. Ordinary people become generals, and generals degenerate into ordinary people. All kinds of good and bad fortune are enough to harm people, and they are also enough to make people successful. Not only misfortune can harm, not only good luck can benefit. A gentleman who only acts in a simple position and knows his destiny, can benefit everywhere. Otherwise, it will be damaged everywhere. Therefore, "The Doctrine of the Mean" says: "When you are in a rich and honorable position, you should do what the rich and noble people should do; when you are in a poor and humble situation, you should do what the poor and humble people should do; In the midst of adversity, do what you should do in adversity. No matter what the situation, a gentleman is at ease." These few words have a profound purpose. It is a pity that people are not good at meeting, or it will not benefit them.
what is me It is clinging to something that is not real. Stay in all kinds of delusions. Create a lot of worldly karma. Just like this, clinging to the external form and thinking that I really exist.
What is self presence? Greed is self presence. Combining various desires with this body, having greed, disobedience to the precepts, developing unkind hearts, or getting angry, or despising each other and slandering each other, taking possession of property as one's own, and being close to property and to guard property, this is called self presence.
